What a blessing to find Wedding Resource Hawaii. My photographer Kauakea and officiant Rev. Mary Love helped make our day absolutely beautiful. When planning a wedding overseas, it can be stressful and you often worry about so many details…But Rev. Mary Love and Kauakea helped answer all my questions in a kind and caring way always. The work is high quality but always with a personal touch. Service cost is super reasonable and affordable, yet wonderful quality. Their service is invaluable and I’m completely grateful to WRH for making my and my husband’s wedding day memorable. Thank you!!!

Can't say enough about the special attention that I received from Tami and Geno in planning our 25th wedding vow renewal ceremony. She was so wonderful in helping us to select a special spot (Rainbow Falls) by providing several options to consider. Tami was very accommodating in helping me to recreate my original wedding colors of light pink/white by ensuring that my lei included little pink rosebuds. The ceremony was beautiful, meaningful and as an unexpected bonus, we were provided with a copy of the text (including the translation for the local chants). The pictures are absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend using Wedding Resource Hawaii to everyone!!!

We decided to elope at the last minute, Tami and Geno made our dreams come true!!! This was such a spiritual experience that money just can’t buy. The whole time of the ceremony I didn’t even notice Tami taking pictures at all. We were so locked into Geno and his words of love and wisdom. When Tami was singing it was like it came from the ocean winds of Hawaii. I am so thankful that we shared our lives with this amazing couple.

The Perfect Choice - Priceless Service

It's hard to find the right people for a job when you are trying to make arrangements long distance, I was on the verge of giving up since it seemed there were very few resources willing to take the trip to Hilo for our special occasion, a small 50th Wedding Anniversary Renewal service for our best friends. I was absolutely thrilled to find Tami and Geno at Wedding Resources through the Wedding Wire website. I was impressed by their quick responses to all my phone calls and questions! After leaving a message at their number, Tami called me right away from the airport upon her return from an overseas trip and actually answered the phone when I called from Kansas even though it was 6 am in Hawaii! They promptly created an extra special ceremony and incorporated Hawaiian customs that were perfect for the celebration. Added to the value of the package was having Tami take wonderful photographs of the entire event. These included beautiful pictures of all the aspects of the occasion - the beach ceremony, dinner and cutting of the cake at our rental house - to a picture of the moon that evening! They were worth the price for their excellent service, attention to detail and overall professionalism . 

Trying to hire the right people long distance for an event is risky and can be a disaster but working with Tami and Geno?? - PRICELESS!

My (now) husband and I were already planning to take a family vacation to Hawaii in December 2017 when we decided we might as well get married too. The people who are most important to us (our families) would already be there AND we would be in such a beautiful place that it seemed like the perfect plan. Oh, did I forget to mention that we decided to try and get married in another state about a month and a half before we left? Needless to say, we knew we were on a time crunch, but as soon as I found Geno and Kauakea, I knew we would be just fine. They were quick to respond to me with information about locations for the ceremony, prices, customizable vows, etc. We were able to hold the ceremony on the property we had rented so we didn't even need to leave our accommodations; Geno and Kaukea came to us! Their prices were very reasonable for the ceremony and beautiful photos we received. All in all, I cannot recommend their services enough!

We made a fairly last minute decision to get married on the Big Island while on vacation with another couple. We called Tami because she was located in Honokaa and we wanted our ceremony at the Hamakua Mission nearby. Tami was an enormous help, suggested we exchange lei's during the ceremony (even had an outstanding recommendation to buy them at Grace's Flowers in Honokaa), and her prepared vows could not have suited us any better. Our ceremony could not have been any better, thanks in large part to Tami. We are a same sex couple and both Tami and Rev. Wansa at the Mission were warm and welcoming. It was just perfect!

We are from Europe so our correspondence with Kauakea and Geno was via email. The gave us the opportunity to read the text for the ceremony before the wedding what we did. We were deeply touched by what they wrote and felt connected although we never met in person before.

The place they recommended for the wedding was amazing, it took place at Lili’uokalani Gardens on Big Island. The photos are fabulous, we often look at them to remember this special day. Wie still remember Kauakea's performance of a Hawaiian chant and we love to listen to the songs played during our wedding. Thank you for making this day so wonderful!

Kauakea has been photographing weddings in Hawaii for years and years.  She has been the photographer for 3 weddings in my family. Geno has now  joined Kauakea to perform the wedding vows and blessings,  My husband and  I wanted a private simple Hawaiian ceremony in a fern forest and they  delivered. We both felt like it was exactly what we wanted. It was  beautiful.

Wedding Resource Hawaii gave us a magical experience for our wedding. She picked out the best locations to capture our day together. She brought out our natural authentic selves in each photo by making us smile and feel comfortable around taking so many amazing pictures. It was truly hard to pick our favorite photos because they were all amazing. She even created a bounded photo album with our favorites that we will cherish forever. We are incredibly grateful to have an amazing person with incredible energy at our wedding. It was a very nice touch to an unforgettable day!

Tami (Kauakea) & Geno were incredible! We purchased the package with  them that was ceremony/officiant, photographer, flowers & wedding  cake. They took care of everything beautifully with a traditional  Hawaiian wedding ceremony including leis, a ring ceremony, Hawaiian  chant, & conch shell. Tami was very responsive & gave us  detailed direction about how to make an appointment to pick up the  marriage license on Hawai'i. She even recommended the caterer we hired  for the rehearsal dinner & wedding dinner - HeartBeet Catering. This  is the same caterer who made the cake. Before the wedding I also  emailed her with my questions & concerns about the erupting volcano  on the Big Island & she sent me a very detailed email reassuring me  that where the wedding was going to be held would not be affected. It  was very comforting. Tami & Geno helped to make our special day  perfect. If you plan to get married in Hawaii, I highly recommend them!!  Sincerely, Artemis & Eric

We don't regret one second we chose Kauakea and Geno to be our wedding  officiant and photographer. They are both kind, warm and professional.  They were very accommodating to our request to do a 20 minutes hike to  reach our dream wedding spot, which we really appreciate. The pictures  Kauakea took turned out to be absolutely wonderful. Since it was just us  and two close friends as witnesses, we found it very important to have  the right click with our wedding performer and photographer. We couldn't  have chosen any better. Mahalo Kauakea and Geno!
